<SPAN
class=671510819-25102006>Thank you for your recent
order at buyhookandloop.com You are among an ever growing crowd of
consumers that realize they do not have to pay 3X the price for Velcro
Brand product -- Congratulations! Our generic "velcro" meets or
exceeds the specifications of industrial brand
Velcro.
"Generic" velcro has been around for many years. Although I am all
for saving money, remember more often "you get what you pay for" than not.
I tried "generic" velcro in the banners and cold air inflateables I made back in
the 1980's. It was my experience that the generic stuff did not hold
up. I was shocked to see the velcro disintegrating from UV in much less
time than the "Velcro brand" products I had been using. Granted, parachute
top tabs are a fine application for "testing" generic velcro, since replacing
them doesn't involve too much effort, and product failure will only result in
not being able to get the balloon inflated. But buyer beware on
aftermarket products. For example, as a rule I NEVER use aftermarket or
2nd quality thread in my homebuilts. That is a structural component that I
would not feel worth "experimenting" with.
