You can get 21 mm rattan for the uprights and the top ring. I used four
pieces to go around the top, two inside and two outside with the vertical
uprights between. I used to use 550 cord with a constrictor knot every few
inches - particularly on each side of the uprights. The vertical 1/4 inch
rattan goes up between them and folds over for an endless three ply braid
which makes a good foundation any padding. Make a very long bevel splice
at various locatrions so that they are not all in the same place and are
mated with more constrictors.

P.S. I would not weave a basket anymore - I would use a Kydex basket. Much
safer, more durable and better looking. dp

I'm thinking on starting a basket. I'd prefer to avoid the steel cable
and conduit, and just use critical-use type rope. And I'm thinking of
using 4 composite tanks at 33 lb propane each. Use standard mounting
for a Cameron or Lindstrand burner.
