Why two vents? One vent with two control cords works very effectively.

Interesting Tom... And ditto what Curtis said!
I settled on Tan colored webbing and its a lovely contrast to my green fabric.
And now I have a question. I'm putting in rotation vents on my balloon and would like to know everyone's opinion on what a good over-lap length would be? I'm thinking about 18" or so. The over-lap on my parachute top vent is about 15.75"... so maybe that would be better instead?
The sewing machine is back and in action finally after a 2 week hiatus. Nearly all of the gores are completed, minus the two that will have the rotation vents. 2 other completed gores have been joined and its looking mighty nifty as the pile of fabric continues to grow...
Hopefully see you in the air soon!

Good to hear from you Tom. With those parts still left, perhaps there is a
balloon in your future!
Fly safe,
Curtis
