[Balloon-makers] 4 Australian homebuilts

Hi Everyone

This weekend saw the first opportunity to get a collection of our
homebuilts together here in Australia.

Since homebuilding became acceptable under new legislation in 1998 we
have been slowly building momentum.

The first balloon built under the new rules was by Steve Griffin,
closely followed by my own.  These were finished in 2003.  Since that
time and now we have proved they are safe, there has been an upswell of
interest in homebuilding in Australia.

We now have 9 homebuilt balloons in Australia, five of these were
together over our Easter weekend just gone.

The four balloons in the picture have all been designed using Arnauds'
Panel.exe software, which I still believe is the best piece of software
available for simple homebuilding design.  Thankyou Arnaud!

There are currently two other homebuilt balloons under construction
here, with at least another two in planning stage.  The revolution has
begun!!
