Phil,
You are right, I wasn't paying attention in
school, so I'm off to buy "scientist fuel" to
test your theory.  while I'm out I'll pick up a
pound of feathers and a pound of lead to see
which weighs more although that will require more
fuel.
I'll report my findings.

Richard

Of course!  it is clear you were not paying
attention in school.

Ok, time for an experiment.  Fill 2 bags to the
top, one with damp, one with
dry, and see the difference.  We can use cheap
beer as the moisture
additive, and good beer as fuel for the
scientists.

Phil,
Are you saying a 25 lb bag of damp sand weighs
more than a 25 lb bag of dry sand? :)

I like 25 lb bags for two reasons:
1) much easier to haul in than the big bags
2) you have many more bags hanging on the outside
of the basket, which
impresses the girls

Don't forget damp sand vs dry sand, which can
make the bags quite a bit
different in weight.
